Math Class: Period 1HOMEWORK: Each week I will pass out a Weekly Homework Sheet on Monday and we will check each nights homework the next day. I will post the homework on this website in case a student has forgotten or lost theirs. They can either print it out or write each problem out on notebook paper. All work needs to be shown either on the sheet or on a separate sheet stapled to the back.
I will post what we will be working on each week in class, dates of tests, videos to watch, additional practice. |

October 31
- Homework-- I have been posting homework on this website, but it does not seem to be working. Extra copies of homework can be found on the board of my classroom.
- Benchmark--5th Grade Math Benchmark will be this Thursday and possibly Friday in math class only. Depending on how far along everyone is will depend on if we go into Friday.
- Stations--We have started stations this week. Each week moving forward students will complete 4 stations, 45 minutes each. Stations will include games, quizzes, practice, Think Through Math, etc. This week the focus is on dividing decimals.
- Unit 4 Test --If all goes according to plan, the test will be on Monday, November 7. It will cover dividing decimals by whole numbers using the standard algorithm and models. I have done away with having parents sign review sheets. Instead I have a bonus question on the board. This way all students are benefiting, not just those that remember.
October 24
- Unit 3 Test: Wednesday -- Dividing Whole Numbers, Expressions, and Equations. (test moved for Award Ceremony)
- Review Sheet -- I am not doing a signed review sheet for bonus this time since too many students lost their sheet from Friday to Monday. I will give a bonus question on the board.
